Basic Daily Meditation Checklist

A very low-pressure meditation checklist for days when the goal is simply to sit down and try.

Before

Pick a time
Morning, lunch break, before bed, or whenever you are least likely to skip it.
Find a quiet-ish spot
It does not have to be perfect. Just a place where you can pause for a few minutes.
Set a short timer
Three to ten minutes counts. No need to turn it into a huge thing.

During

Sit comfortably
Chair, cushion, floor, bed edge, whatever helps you stay awake and relaxed.
Notice your breathing
Just pay attention to breathing in and out without trying to do it perfectly.
Come back when your mind wanders
Wandering is normal. Notice it and come back, even if you do that fifty times.

After

Write one tiny note
One word is enough: calm, tired, distracted, better, annoyed, anything.
Check it off
Let the checkmark be the reward, not some perfect peaceful feeling.
Decide tomorrow's time
Make the next sit easier by choosing the time now.
